In short:
I have an affinity for learning new tricks, respect tradition, and love to build.
At length:
Growing up in Northern Maine, my passion for woodworking and the trades started at an early age working for my family’s small excavation company and building small furnishings in my father’s woodshop. It was here that I found a passion for creative thinking, fine craftsmanship, and tight joinery.
Though my later years led me to living in New York City, getting a Masters in music education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and studying wine in Northern California, I felt called back to Maine to continue my career teaching music with the intention of bringing woodworking to the forefront. Since then, I have been hired to build several projects both independently and to aid other craftspeople in southern Maine.
I primarily work out of my shop in Portland, Maine where I live with my beautiful wife and our new baby boy!
